answer: y = 3/2x - 2

how i got the answer:

slope intercept form: y = mx + b (slope = m , y-intercept = b)

with this form, any value for y or x should work and have one true solution.

so, let's start by finding the y intercept, or what y is when x = o. in this case, it looks like it's -2, so we can add that to the equation.

y = mx - 2

to find the slope, let's plug a y and x value in the graph into the equation to isolate m and get our slope.

let's use the point (2,1)

1 = (2)m - 2

1+2 = 2m -2+2

3 = 2m

3/2 = 2m/2

(3)/(2) = m

the slope is 3/2. lets add that to the rest of our equation:

y = 3/2x - 2

now that we have the slope value, our equation is complete!

there you go! hope this helps, and have a great day!
