Answer: the length of the 1st side is 4 m

Explanation:

P=a+b+c

b=a+3

c=4a

Hence,

27=a+(a+3)+4a

27=a+a+3+4a

27=6a+3

27-3=6a+3-3

24=6a

Divide both parts of the equation by 6:

4=a

Thus,

a=4 m
