Determine the domain and range of the function:f(x)= 3/x-2 +1

The domain of the function is x does not equal 2. The range of the function is y does not equal 1.

The reason that we know the domain is x does not equal 2 is because we determine domain gaps using things that make denominators 0. In this equation, only 2 would make the denominator 0.

We also know that this fraction could never equal 0 since 3 divided by anything is not 0. Therefore the range cannot contain 0 + 1 which is 1.
