keeping in mind that an absolute value expression is in fact a piece-wise expression, where we have a ± version, then



\bf |x+7|=0\implies \stackrel{\textit{two solutions}}{\begin{cases} +(x+7)=0\implies x=-7\\ -(x+7)=0\implies x=7 \end{cases}}
