2a. The slope is a positive slope, its supposed to be a negative one.

2b. Jake wrote a slope of 1/4 instead of -1/4

Explanation:

For the second part the point (12,4) is not on the graph.

Plug in the x and y values into the equation y = (-1/4)x - 1

So 12 = (-1/4)(4) - 1

12 = (-1) - 1

12 = -2

12 does not equal 2. Therefore, the point (12,4) does not lie on the graph above.
