Given f(x) = -9x - 1 and g(x) = 4x + 1, find (f.g)(x).

(-9x -1) x (4x+1)
use foil method
-9x * 4x - 9x - 4x - 1
collect like terms by multiplying the -9x and the 4x together, then you add together both -9x and -4x. Then you have your answer below
-36x^2 - 13x - 1
