Remember to follow the rules within this order:

PEMDAS, Left -> right.

24 − 6 × 3 + 5^2 − (16 ÷ 2)

First, solve the parenthesis

16/2 = 8

24 - 6 x 3 + 5^2 - 8

Next, solve for the exponent

5^2 = 5 x 5 = 25

Next, multiply

24 - (6 x 3) + 25 - 8

24 - 18 + 25 - 8

Combine like terms

24 - 18 + 25 - 8 = 23

23, or (B) is your answer

hope this helps
