Theodore Roosevelt
Theodore Roosevelt was the 26th president of the US and led the US in the first years of the 20th century.
Theodore Roosevelt was classified as a Progressive Republican who believed the government needed to do more to curb the effects of the Gilded Age. With large animals becoming extinct and land being exhausted, Roosevelt pushed for the protection of Federal land by creating National Parks. Roosevelt also promoted the construction of dams and systems to provide water to farming areas.
