We can rewrite this as
m∠A + m∠B = m∠D

Given m∠A = (2x)° , m∠B = (3x + 41)° and m∠D = 124° and substituting in the above equation,

2x + (x + 41.5) = 124

2x + x + 41.5 = 124

3x + 41.5 = 124

3x = 124 - 41.5 = 82.5

x = 82.5/3 = 27.5

But m∠A = (2x) = 2 x 27.5 = 55°
