Hello!

If you divide or multiply by one negative number, the number will remain negative. Let's just divide 5.4 and 0.3, and add a negative after.

5.4/0.3=18

We add our negative

-18

Therefore, our quotient is -18.

I hope this helps!

Hey there!

The "
quotient" is basically the result of a division equation

Remember: \\ -,- = + \\ +,+ = + \\-,+ = - \\ +,- = -

This pair is:
+, - (
Positive (+), negative (-)

So, this means your result will be a negative

(5.4)/(-0.3) = -18 \\ \\ (-0.3)(-18) = 54 \\ -18 = -18

Therefore your quotient is
-18

Good luck on your assignment and enjoy your day!
