Solution:

we are given that

Maggi has 10 hurdles to cross in a race. the probability of crossing a hurdle successfully is 1/4.

we have been asked- what is the probability that she will cross at least one hurdle?

Probability of not corssing one Hurdle
=1-(1)/(4)=(3)/(4)

Probability of missing all Hurdle
=(3)/(4) *(3)/(4) *(3)/(4) .....*(3)/(4) =((3)/(4) )^(10)

Hence proabaility that atleast one Hurdle will be scuccefully crossed
=1-((3)/(4) )^(10)=0.9436 \approx 94 \ Percent.
