Because ABC and DEF are congruent.

m∠A = m∠D

m∠B = m∠E

m∠C = m∠F.

We need m∠B = m∠E.

m∠B = 65⁰

m∠E = (x-8)⁰

65 = x-8

x=65 + 8 = 73⁰

Answer: x=73⁰.

Δ ABC ≡ ΔDEF

⇒ ∠DEF = ∠ABC

.

Solve x:

x - 8 = 65

x = 73

.

Answer: x = 73°
