How can I tell apart the difference of a dilation of 1/2 and a dilation of 2?

Dilation of two: Starting with ΔABC you need to draw the dilation image of the shape with a center at the origin and a scale factor of two. Notice that every coordinate of the original shape has been multiplied by the scale factor, this means it has been multiplied by 2

Dilation of 1/2: This is the same as above but multiplied by 1/2 instead of 2

by observation a dilation of one half makes an object smaller while a dilation of 2 makes an object larger
