Jacob is solving the equation 3√3q = 27 for q. His work is shown.

3√3q = 27
√3q = 9
(√3q)^ = 9^
3q = A
q = B

What are the correct values for A and B?

(^ stands for squared)

The given problem is stated as below:

3√3q = 27

√3q = 9

(√3q)^ = 9^

(^ stands for squared )

3q = A

Therefore we have,

A = 9^

or, A = 81

Again it is given that,

3q = A

or, 3q = 81.

or, q = 81/3 = 27

q = 27

As per the problem q = B,

therefore we can conclude that B = 27

So by solving the problem we get the final answer as below:

A = 81 and B =27
