The correct answer is A-The uniformity of housing and conformity of behavior led to reactive anarchy in creative expression.

The 1950's was known as an era of conformity. During this time, millions of men and women got married, started a family, and moved to the suburbs. From there, these individuals lived in similar style houses with similar tastes in TV, cars, and political views. This era of conformity was met with resistance by a minority of people who felt that this conformist lifestyle was unfulfilling. This Beat Generation, aka counter culture, would help to spark the anti-war generation of the 1960's.
