A base of a parallelogram is on the x-axis and the origin is located at the left endpoint of that base. Three consecutive vertices are (h, j), (0, 0), and (k, 0), where h > 0. What is the y- coordinate of the fourth vertex?

The fourth vertex is (k + h, j).

(See attached picture.) The fourth vertex is at the same height as the point (h, j), so its second coordinate is j. The first coordinate is the sum k + h because the fourth vertex is just as far to the right of (k, 0) as the point (h, j) is from the y-axis.
