Hello!


To solve for this equation, you should first, change the equation into slope-intercept form.


6x + y ≥ 5 (subtract 6x from both sides)

y ≥ -6x + 5


You can't actually "solve" this equation, but you can find the values that allow this equation to be true!


I posted the graph of the equation, y ≥ -6x + 5 below, but if you were to graph it on a number line, find the point 5/6 or 0.8333.., fill in the circle, and draw the line to the right of the number line infinitely. (Show this with an arrow sign.)


To graph this equation, graph the line with a solid line, and shade everything to the right of the line, those are the solutions to the equation.


Thus, the solutions are 5/6 ≤ x ≤ ∞.
