Plug the individual equation into the expression:

f(x) - g(x) - h(x)

(3x + 5) - (4x² - 2) - (x² - 3x + 1)

3x + 5 - 4x² + 2 - x² + 3x - 1

Simplify by combining like terms:

-5x² + 6x + 6

That means that f(x) - g(x) - h(x) = -5x² + 6x + 6.
