What is the range of the function f(x) =1/ (1-x) Express your answer in interval notation.

That would be all real values of f(x) except when x = 1.

Sketching a graph would make it obvious that f(x) can equal anything except zero. Thus, range is (-infinity, 0) union (0, infinity)
