Maria has five books in her book bag. Three books are novels, one is a biography, and one is a poetry book. Today she grabs one book out of her bag without looking and returns it later. Tomorrow she does the same thing. Which is the probability that she grabs a novel both days?

The probability would be "3/5."

There is three novels in her book-bag.

There are 5 books in all.

So the chances you might get a novel would be 3.

Therefore the probability would be 3/5!

Probability is the amount of what would happen. So in this case if there are three novels there would be three possible outcomes. But there are 5 books in all so the chances are that you will get a novel would be 3 out of 5. Which would mean the probability is 3/5!

Hope this helps!
