What is the final velocity of the car? The final velocity (v) is given by the formula v = v0 + at, where v0 is initial velocity, v is final velocity, a is acceleration, and t is time. A car moving at an initial velocity of 20 meters/second accelerates at the rate of 1.5 meters/second2 for 4 seconds.?

You simply need to plug the values you're given in the formula.

v = v_0+at is the law that describes the velocity of a body subject to a constant force - and thus a constant acceleration. So, its velocity changes with a constant rate over time.

If you plug the values you're given for the initial velocity, acceleration and time, you get

v = 20+1.5\cdot 4 = 20 + 6 = 26
