So for this, our equation is gonna be
(f-g)(x)=3x^(-4)-(x+2)

Firstly, reverse the signs in (x+2)
(f-g)(x)=3x^(-4)-x-2

Next, change 3x^-4 to 3/x^4, and your answer will be
(f-g)(x)=(3)/(x^4)-x-2
