Point 1 (0, - 2)

Point 2 (8,0)

Slope = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)= (0-(-2))/(8-0)=2/8=1/4

y-intercept (from the Point 1 (0, - 2)) is -2.

Equation : y=(1/4)x - 2

Coordinates to test are (4,-1).

y=(1/4)x - 2

-1=(1/4)*4 -2

-1=1-2

-1=-1 True
