y = -2x

Explanation:

since the y-int starts at 0, you would go down 2 (negative) and to the right by 1, 2/1=2

use the equation y=mx+b to find the equation of a graph

m is the slope and b is the y-int

you can also use the method rise/run, where in this case, the rise (down when it’s a negative) is -2 and the run (across) is 1

2 represents the change in y and 1 represents the change in x

when finding the equation of a graph, always check the y-axis for the point then start there. that represents your y-int. then you look for a solid point and see how much units away across and up or down it is from the y-int.

in this case, i went to the point (1, -2).
