7 * 12 * 5 = 420
10 * 5 * 5 = 250
2 * 18 * 5 = 180
15 * 7 * 5 = 525

Answer
missing = 7

Answer:

7

Explanation:

Formula of joint variation :
z = kxy

To Calculate k

Width(x)= 7

Height(y) = 12

Volume(z) = 420

Substitute the values in the formula

420 = k(7)(12)

(420)/(7 * 12) = k

5= k

Now , to find the missing height

Substitute width = x = 15

Height = ?

Volume = z = 525

Substitute the values in the formula :

525 = 5(15)y

(525)/(5 * 15)= y

7= y

So, the missing value is 7 .
