Answer:

The microwave will run for 5 minutes using the same energy as the bulb

Step-by-step explanation:

Step one

Given data

Power for microwave =700-W

Power consumption for light bulb=100W

Time =35min----to hours 35/60=0.58hrs

Energy consumption for bulb =power *time

= 100*0.58

=58.33joule

If the microwave wave is to consume this same amount of energy then it will run for

Energy =power *time

Time =energy /power

Time =58.33/700

Time =0.083hrs to min=0.083*60

Time =5 minutes

The answer is 5 mins. If the energy spent by a 100 W bulb for 35 min is the product of 100 X 35 which equals to 3500. With the microwave it'll take just 5 mins to consume that. (3500/700)
