For your paragraph, focus on the impact isolationism had on China's economy. Is Isolationism a good thing or bad thing? Why? Think about the impact it had on China's culture, trade, and technology. Can modern nations learn from this?

HEYA!!!!!

During the last 2000 years China was pretty much isolated from the western world. That leads to a unique eastern philosophy and economy system. Now China is one of the most open society in the world, and China’s ready to absorb the best from the west, while keeping her own heritage. As a result, Chinese culture will develop into this hybrid culture in which the best from the west and east are combined. During Mao’s period China was isolated from the world and suffered greatly. I don’t think there’s any possibility China will isolate herself again.

Hope it is correct and you have found your answers....

Isolationism is a good practice on paper, but when applied it does not work. Many of the problems China faced while under haijin, an isolationism period, included a secluded culture, inability to trade with other countries, and falling behind technologically compared to the rest of the world. Maritime piracy was also a big issue for China, as the few foreign trades they initiated under this period were intercepted by Japanese pirates. Modern nations can definitely learn from this disastrous period as an example of what not to put the country under when regarding foreign relations.
