Hormones are chemicals released directly into the blood by the endocrine system. The main hormones released in a time of stress or a potentially dangerous situation include cortisol and norepinephrine. Continual release of these hormones can cause hypertension (high blood pressure), low energy stores and feeling rundown, low metabolism, ulcers from poor digestion, stunted growth.

Brad’s body is distressed that causes the release of epinephrine and cortisol. These results to increase blood sugar, heart rate and breathing. Meanwhile, cortisol aids in carbohydrate, protein and fat metabolism, and suppress the immune system.

Moreover, long-term stress can lead to high blood pressure, susceptibility to infection due to suppress immune system, skin problems, pain, diabetes, cardiovascular disease and infertility.
