the number of white flowers to yellow flowers is approximately 3:5
sow divided by y = 3 divided by 5

w: y = 3:5
5 w = 3 y
w = 3y / 5

there are 160 seeds
so
y + w = 160 we replace the w in the equation w = 3y / 5

y + 3y/ 5 = 160

5y +3y = 160* 5

8y = 800

y = 800/8 = 100 the number of yellow flowers


and w = 160 - y = 160 - 100 = 60 the number of white flowers
