The most important factor in predicting how a supreme court justice will vote is "the justice's ideological predilections".


A predilection is an inclination for or predisposition toward something. In the event that you have a preference for a certain ideology for example a Justice has a soft spot ideologically for Obama administration or for that matter anyone else, this will affect the judgment they make.
