Javier is doing his spanish test and he is having some trouble with several questions. he understands the questions but doesn't remember what the answers are. his neighbor speaks spanish so decides to give her a call. she comes over and tells him what all the words are that he needs to know in order to answer his questions on his test. is this an academic integrity infraction? why? why not?

Yes, it is consider an Academic Integrity infraction because it was on a test. Even though she didn’t give him the answers to the test but a workbox, a test is just your knowing. A test determined if you actually know the information or if you need to do more studying.
