Given facts:
Elby practiced 4/5 of an hour yesterday and 3/5 of an hour today

What is asked in the problem:
how long should he practice tomorrow to complete a total of a 2 hour practice?

What is the hidden question:
how many hours total did Elby practice from yesterday and today?

Operations to be used:
addition and subtraction (and multiplication if converting from hours to minutes)

What is the number sentence:
4/5 + 3/5 = 7/5 2-7/5= .6 (not positive on this)

Answer:
first you need to add the two fractions of time to get the total time spent practicing volleyball

4/5 + 3/5 = 7/5

so 7/5 of an hour has been spent (1.4 hours in decimal form)
now you subtract 1.4 from 2 to get the remaining hours needed

2 - 1.4 = 0.6

Elby should spend 0.6 of an hour practicing tomorrow
to convert this to minutes you multiply by 60

0.6 * 60 = 36 minutes

hope this helped!
