Multiple the known quantity for one apartment, by the number of apartments:

Carpet_(total) = (carpet)/(apartment) * n_(apartments)

Carpet_(total) = 36(yd^(2))/(apartment) * 25apartments

Carpet_(total) = 900yd^(2)

Hello!

You can make a proportion

(1)/(36) = (25)/(x)

Cross multiply

36 × 25 = 900

900 ÷ 1 = 900

Answer ⇒ D. 900 square yards
