The average speed in miles per hour is defined to be the distance in miles divided by the time in hours spent covering the distance.

a. What is the jogger’s average speed for a two mile trip on level ground in 1/3 hour?

b. What is the jogger’s average speed for the two mile trip in #1?

c. What is the jogger’s average speed for the two mile trip in #2?

d. What is the jogger’s average speed for the two mile trip in #3? Express your answer as a simplified algebraic fraction.

e. Verify that the expression in part d gives you the correct answers for parts b and c.
(Look at #3g and #3h to see what value of c you should use.)

2 miles

(1/3) hour

Please clarify what you're refering to by "#1, #2, #3." Seems that some key info is missing.
