Its not easy to tell from the diagram. It descends to the right so its a negative slope.
It must be -1/4.

Start at (0,-2) where the graph crosses the y axis.

Move down 1 unit. Then move to the right 4 units. You should arrive at the point (4,-3)

This means the slope is -1/4. Note how
slope = rise/run = -1/4
rise = -1 (amount we go up or down)
run = 4 (amount we go to the right)

The negative rise value indicates we went down instead of up.

Answer: Choice D) -1/4
