I probably think that the answer is D!

The midpoint is the average of the coordinates.

Let the coordinates of J be
(x,y)

M = \frac 1 2(J+ K)

(-6,-2) = \frac 1 2( (x,y)+ (-2,4))

That's really two equations:

-6 = \frac 1 2 (x + -2)

-12 = x + -2

x = -10

-2 = \frac 1 2(y+4)

-4 = y+4

y=-8

So we have J(-10,-8)

Check:

( (-10+-2)/2, (-8+4)/2)=(-6,-2) \quad\checkmark
