Tom buys a new phone service. It costs $20 to install, and then costs $15 a month. Write an equation to show the cost of the phone (y) for any number of months (x).

y=15x+20
B.
y=20x+15
C.
y=20x-15

15x+20y=35

The answer would be A, or
y = 15x + 20

Since every month it charges you 15$, and you pay an initial fee of 20$, then the answer would be
20 + 15x = y.


And if we rearrange it, it would give us:
y = 15x+20.
