PLZ HELP URGENT!!!! the statement "cot theta= 12/15, sec theta= -13/5 and the terminal point determined by theta is in quadrant 4":

A. cannot be true because sec(theta) is greater than zero in quadrant 4

B. cannot be true because if cot(theta)= -12/5, then sec(theta)= +/- 13/12.

C. cannot be true because cot(theta) must be less than 1.

D. cannot be true because 12^2+5^2 does not = 1.

we know that
in the IV quadrant
cos theta is positive
and
sin theta is negative
so
cot theta=cos theta/sin theta--------> cot theta must be negative
sec theta=1/cos theta------> sec theta must be positive

therefore

the answer is the option
A. cannot be true because sec(theta) is greater than zero in quadrant 4
