Which of these is the best hypothesis for why your tire's air pressure is low?

a) If the pressure in the tire is low, then the tire lost air pressure because air is escaping through a hole in the tire.

b) If the pressure in the tire is low, then someone let air out of the tire, because tires do not lose air naturally.

My first pick would definitely be option A. I hope it helps.

Answer: Option (A)

Explanation: Air pressure and temperature are directly proportional to each other.

The air pressure decreases in a relatively warm climate, as the air molecules gets activated and rises up. Thus there must be some gap through which this gas has escaped. So due to this decrease in temperature, the tyre loses some of its air pressure.

Thus, this option (A) can be put forwarded as a hypothesis for which the air pressure is low in the tyre.
