The vertical asymptotes exist where the denominator goes to 0. That means we have to factor it to find the trouble spots.
x^(2) +5x-6 factors easily into (x - 1)(x + 6), telling us that x = 1 and x = -6 by the zero product property. Therefore, the vertical asymptotes for this rational function are at x = 1 and x = -6
