I’d rather be loved than feared. Being feared means that the people who are around me are only around me because they fear what I can or would do to them, or their lives, possibly those around them as well.
To be loved by the people in my life, I know that they are here for me and want to have a good time together. Though, this could be annoying if you are an introvert, so maybe being feared would keep you alone, how you like it.
