6 teams are needed .5 players on each team
30/5=6

You first want to make an equation for the problem. Let x be the number of teams needed since the problem doesn’t include it.
30=5x
Divide 5 by both sides to get x on its own side
*What you do to one side you do to the other
30/5=5x/5
6=x
