With regards to alexander hamilton and thomas jefferson's debates in the 1790s, what aspect of their differences in opinion can still be seen in today's united states?

whether the constitution should be interpreted strictly or loosely

Jefferson thought states should charter banks that could issue money. Jefferson also believed that the Constitution did not give the national government the power to establish a bank. Hamilton disagreed on this point too. It was a constitutional interpretation problem still evident today.
