1. The area of a circle is

a = \pi {r}^(2)

\pi = 3.14 \\ r = (3.4)/(2) = 1.7

a = (3.14) {(1.7)}^(2) \\ = 9.0746
The area is 9.07 cm^2.

2. The volume of a cube is

v = {s}^(3)

s = 4.5

v = {(4.5)}^(3) \\ = 91.125
The volume is 91.125 m^3
