99 POINTS.... PLEASEEEEE HELP !!!

Test on Relations and Functions

1. Find the inverse of the function f(X) = 3X – 7, Show all work!

2. Use a mapping diagram to represent the relation {(2,4), (3,4), (4,4), (5,4)}, State if the relation is a function.

3. Draw a Graph on the coordinate plan that represents a function. Explain your reasoning!

For questions 4-8, use the above graph.

4. Evaluate f(2).

5. List all x-intercepts.

6. Evaluate f(-0.7)?

7. Evaluate f(1.9)?

8. It the graph a function? Explain your reasoning.

9. If f(x) = 3x-6, what is f(-9)?

10. If f(x) = 42 + 3, what is f(-2)?

You have a lot of questions here, I can help with some.

1) To find the inverse, switch the x and f(x) and solve for f(x).
x = 3f(x) - 7
x + 7 = 3(f(x)
(x + 7) / 3 = f(x)

2) It is a function, because each input pairs with only 1 output.

3) Any diagonal line would be a function.

4 - 8 (We can't do without the diagram)

9) f(-9) = 3(-9) - 6
f(-9) = -27 - 6
f(-9) = -33

10) f(-2) = 42 + 3
f(-2) = 45
