How did Western influences affect social and political developments in China?

Culturally, western literature , art and ideas were introduced, art and literature become very popular. Some part of the population also converted Christianity. family values also gradually became modernised.

politically, the Qing dynasty was replaced by a dictatorial nationalist government. Foreign government ideals were introduced into China, and at the same time china was introduced into global politics.
