Fiber that is soluble can bind to bile and cholesterol and pull it out of circulation. Soluble fiber spent more time in the system unlike insoluble fiber that goes straight through. This give the soluble fiber more time to bin with cholesterol and then excreted out of the body hence removing the bad cholesterol.
