Lea bought 2 shirts for 12.50 each. Multiply the cost of a single shirt by how many shirts Lea bought:

2 * 12.50 = 25

Add this value to the cost of the purse to find the cost of Lea's purchase before taxes:

25 + 50 = 75

Lea spent $75 before taxes.

To apply the tax, convert the sales tax from a percentage to a decimal:

7 / 100 = 0.07

Multiply this decimal by the total cost to find the sales tax:

0.07 * 75 = 5.25

Add this tax to the cost before taxes:

75 + 5.25 = 80.25

Lea spent $80.25 in total.

Well, first, be sure to add the 12.50 twice and 50 all together into 75. Then, to get 7% of that, you multiply it by 0.07, and 75 times 0.07 is 5.25. Then add that to 75 to get your answer of $80.25! There ya go!
