Translate the given information into equations:


2L + 2W = 326
L = 2W - 5


Solve the system of equations.
2(2W - 5) + 2W = 326
4W - 10 + 2W = 326
6W - 10 = 326
6W = 336
W = 56

L = 2W - 5
L = 2(56) - 5
L = 107
Answer: Length: 107 ft; Width: 56 ft
