So I have a problem with a pie chart and I need to find the total amount of people surveyed using the amount of one portion of it.

I cannot figure out how to do this, so I hope someone can help me. Also, I need you to explain how you got your answer because this is basically an essay question because I need to explain the steps on how I got it

Explanation:

All you gotta do is divide the number of football players, 210, by the percentage, 0.42. And when you divide 210 by 0.42, you get the total number of people surveyed, which was 500.

210 ÷ 0.42 = 500

42% = 210 so,
42/100=210/x
Cross multiply-
42x=21000
Divide by 42 on both sides and you get- 500
